Spaying and neutering as many cats and dogs as possible in order to end the pet overpopulation in our county is one of our major goals. While we do not operate a surgery center onsite, both of our local veterinary offices work with us to provide low cost options and, on occasion we are able to coordinate a mobile clinic visit.
Low Cost Spay/Neuter Vouchers
Low cost vouchers are always available for purchase at The Humane Society of Marlboro County during open hours. These vouchers may be used at Bennettsville Animal Hospital or Marlboro Veterinary Services. The vouchers cover only the cost of surgery. Please be aware that a rabies vaccine will be required at the time of the surgery and that cost is extra to be paid at the clinic. Vouchers expire after 60 days.

Angel’s Hope Spay/Neuter Vouchers
Angel’s Hope is a nonprofit located in Columbia, SC that has partnered with The Humane Society of Marlboro County to provide residents with free spay/neuter options. Through these efforts, Angel’s Hope is determined to see a time when the loss of innocent companion animal lives as a result of entering shelters, becoming homeless or suffering from abuse and neglect is zero. The Humane Society of Marlboro County is incredibly honored to be chosen to receive these funds for our county!
You must apply for the voucher on their website at this link and they will mail vouchers out monthly. These vouchers must be used only at Bennettsville Animal Hospital. These vouchers cover the surgery, rabies vaccine and pain medication.
